Welcome to Cason Talley and Jake Mooney's Wedding Website! From college neighbors to fiancees, we can't wait to celebrate with you on our wedding day.

Before they were engaged, they were neighbors! Jake and Cason lived next door to each other while in college at JMU in 2012. Jake and his roommates Lou, Nick and Ben, and Cason and her roommates Courtney and Alina, became friendly and began having "family dinners" on Sundays. Every other week they would alternate which apartment made dinner. Unbeknownst to Cason, Jake had a little crush. Not until the next school year, in Fall of 2013 after they had both moved to new apartments, did Jake make his move.
They now live in Baltimore, next door to the Orioles' baseball stadium at Camden Yards, and are the proud parents of Pickles the French Bulldog and a Beta fish named Bucky, as well as their dogs who live at home, Brinley and Tucker.

Jake is a travel agent in Annapolis, and Cason is a manager at an advertising agency in Baltimore. They have travelled the US and to Spain and St. Lucia together, where Jake proposed, and can't wait to continue their journey as husband and wife!

TRANSPORTATION
Buses will be picking up and dropping off guests from the Hilton Garden Inn, for those who wish to take advantage of charter transportation to the venue.
​
You may ride the buses, even if you are not staying in the hotel.
Please be ready for pick up at the front of the Hilton Garden Inn at 5:00.

If you will be driving to the venue, please look for the marked field entrance next door to the address on your invitation. There is ample parking.

This is a holiday weekend, and there is a home UVA Football game: hotels will get booked, so reserve your room early!

There are plenty of other great places to stay in Charlottesville, close to vineyards, restaurants and shopping! The Hilton Garden Inn is where buses will be picking and dropping off guests for the wedding if you choose to use our transportation to the venue.
Attire
We are having an outdoor wedding, on the Talley farm.
Cocktail attire is requested, but field-appropriate shoes are suggested!
The venue
Our wedding will take place on Cason's family farm. The ceremony and reception will be held at Cedar Grove, a former homestead on the farm where the old house ruins still remain, in a grove of trees just above the banks of the Rivanna River.
​
Cedar Grove dates back to the 1830s, and Cason's grandfather purchased the estate in 1940. It has remained in the family for nearly 80 years, and we have found many artifacts on the site: buttons from civil war military uniforms, antique jewelry, and hardware pieces from the original house.
These pieces of history help tell the story of the people who once lived there. Cedar Grove is Cason's favorite spot on the farm, and where she has always wanted to have her wedding. We are are excited to add to its history by getting married in such a special place!
